My Extreme Gammon Settings -- Daily Use
As we seem to have quite a few visitors looking for information regarding eXtreme Gammon, I will be happy to post, in detail, the settings I have found work best for me.
On the main XG menu, go to Options / Settings...
Main Settings Tab

I have changed my error threshold to "Precise" and I use the "Performance Rating" to determine how well I played (or didn't play). The Performance Rating is much like the GNUBG Error Rate. It is not identical to the Snowie Equivalent Error Rating, as it does not count forced moves. I have changed my ELO system to "GridGammon", simply because I am used to the rating ceilings.
Game Tab

If you have a dual core or faster processor, you would do well by using the "World Class" analysis preset. This setting controls the level at which XG will analyze your matches or money sessions. This has no bearing on rollout settings. I use a custom setting that I have found works best for me, to obtain a very accurate analysis in a reasonable amount of time. To set your default analysis level, see the Analysis tab.
Mode Tab

This is a very basic setting that allows XG Roller+ to be used for all evaluations from the "Hint" button.
Analysis Tab

My "Custom Setting #1". As I use XG on my core solo laptop, this custom analysis setting works great and does not require a long wait for analysis results. For major matches, I would likely use the "World Class" preset, but for daily use, the Custom Setting is fine. As soon as the new GNUBG Supremo Match Equity Table is completed, I will definitely use that instead of G-11 (GNUBG 11 point).
Rollouts Tab

This my Custom Settings 1 which I use for most rollouts. Again, depending upon the speed of your processor, you may wish to raise the the plies to 4 and 4 for both checker play and cube decisions.
If anyone has questions regarding XG settings, please let me know.
